Howdy all you hoopy froods!

Milliways, the Restaurant at the End of the Universe will of course be having our 3rd annual Towel Day celebration on May 25th. The entertainments starts at 12pm SLT and will continue until who knows....last year's shin dig was over ten hours long!

 This year we will be hosting two contests with 500L in prizes for each, her are the details so you can get ready to win......

*Vogon Poetry Contest- Should be around 3pm SLT.  Vogons are noted by the Hitchhikers Guide as the 3rd worst poets in the universe, see if you compare.

- Poems are to be no longer than four paragraphs long. They should be ready in notecard form so you can copy/and paste them to local chat. You can , if you like perform them with SL voice, but they still need to be put into local chat for the benefit of those without voice enabled.

-Our guests will vote on the best/worst poetry, if anyone chews their limbs off to get away you will know you have done well.

*Worst Dressed Sentient in the Galaxy Contest- Should be around 5pm SLT (Subject to change).  A freebie fashion showcase, lets see that bling.....Our guests will vote on the most hideous freebie outfits you can put together.  Challenge the notion of self awareness by donning the duds no one but noobs dare.

Guild Timetable now rolling!

There are too many Companion's Guild events to only publish the timetable twice a month, so from now on it will be rolled out whenever it needs updating :-) A new edition is available at all the usual places (Boat Dock, dorms, Lotus Station, Tsuyu, Castle Rock)

Firefly-class ship in Spinwheel

SPINWHEEL - There is a Firefly-class parked above Central Plaza in downtown Spinwheel. The ship is there as part of the celebrations for the registration of Ti Qi Companion House on Dragon's Egg. Registered Companions will be having a banquet on the ship which will stay in Spinwheel for the rest of the month.

It did come as a bit of the surprise to Spinwheel Mayor Tillery Woodhen, who hadn't been advised of the plans. The mayor's office didn't return waves requesting comment, but people in the apartment below the mayor's penthouse at the Paquin Arms were awakened by a sudden yell. They're not sure what he said, but the did hear this clearly, "Where the hell did that come from! Wait, is that my car? They landed on my gorram CAR?!?"

The mayor was last seen being led to his office by aides carrying large bottles of mao tai.

Residents and tourist are welcome to visit the ship during its time in Spinwheel.

Fire Ceremony this saturday....

Commencing at 12.45 for 1pmslt the Companion's Guild will be opening their new term with a Fire Ceremony. All welcome to celebrate the beginning of more activity and to share stories of what we have all been up to in our holidays.. this is what Fire Islet is all about! Hope to see you and your friends there
